What exactly should be the ‘timely’ question? What if I ask, is there a need to think about the future? Of course, it is something where we might all differ but there are people who (I suppose) are suggesting with their art that we need to think about it.
Here I am privileged to introduce to you the CLOCK of the Long Now. After the entire three years of development, the eight-foot CLOCK Prototype can tell time accurately for about 10,000 years. So, this is what I call long-term thinking and this now may pay off.
The Clock of the Long Now is both fascinating, and yes, maybe a bit revolutionary and is likely to find a suitable home in an academic library or somewhere in a museum for people who are avid in the desire to see us go on.
